HONOLULU - U.S. Coast Guard, Honolulu Fire Department and Ocean Safety crews are searching for a missing swimmer in the vicinity of Laniakea Beach Park.
Rescue crews are looking for any signs of an Asian man in his 30s last seen wearing black shorts.
Ocean Safety personnel contacted the Coast Guard at approximately 5:30 p.m. A Coast Guard aircrew launched an HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Barbers Point at about 6:15 p.m. to assist in the search.
Coast Guard crews plan to search throughout the night.
